Qualifications
First edition trade books translated by professionals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Original work (English or French) must be Canadian. Books must have been published in the appropriate year (September - September) and at least 48 pages long, and must be available in Canada with an ISBN. Self-published books are ineligible.

How to Apply
Publishers submit four copies of eligible books for consideration. Four copies of the original work are also required. Publishers are responsible for filling out a Publisher's Registration Form. Contact the Canada Council for a registration form.
