Qualifications
Publishers must already be participating in the Block Grants or Emerging Publishers programs, and must have already published 3 titles in the language of translation. Translation must be to English, French, or an Aboriginal language. Publishers (not translators) undergo the application process. Translation costs, travel costs for the translator and promotion costs (for fiction, poetry or drama) are eligible. Canadian Theatre Companies should apply to the Theatre Section for help with translation of a Canadian play. Other qualifications are listed on website and include those title qualifications for the Block Grants and Emerging Publishers programs.
