Qualifications
Established professional book publishers with an ongoing publishing program that includes at least 16 eligible titles. However, first time applicants must apply for an Emerging Publisher Grant rather than a Block Grant, even if they qualify otherwise for a Block Grant. Publishing house must be at least 75% Canadian-owned and must have its head office in Canada. Publishing must be the primary activity, and books must be distributed through normal channels. Company must maintain complete control over editorial processes. Other qualifications (such as type of titles eligible) are listed on website.
