Qualifications
Collectives must be Aboriginal-controlled and are eligible for Storytelling and Creative Writing in Aboriginal Languages Grants, and Creative Writing Grants. See the summary for those grants to learn more about the qualifications. In the case of a publisher seeking a grant, Aboriginal people must form the majority of the leadership for the organization. All applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Self publication is not eligible. Eligible forms include literary non-fiction, fiction, children's literature, storytelling, and legends/ mythology. See the Canada Council site for further details.

How to Apply
Request the appropriate form by e-mail or regular mail (it will be sent by regular mail, so leave lots of time), fill it in and mail it (no fax or e-mail) with any additional materials to the address indicated on the form.
