Qualifications
Organizations must demonstrate that they have the capacity to properly professionally host a visiting writer. Writers should not have any regular teaching duties and should devote at least 60% of their time to writing. Further qualifications are listed on website.

The organization in question must initiate the application process. Download the form (or request it by e-mail from the Canada Council), fill it in and mail it (no fax or e-mail) with any additional materials to the address indicated on the form.
